Lake Travis Middle School (LTMS) has maintained an Exemplary rating by the Texas Education Agency every year since 1995. The goal at LTMS is to develop a community of lifelong learners by providing a safe, educationally rich environment that promotes academic excellence, personal growth and service to more than 850 students.

 

The curriculum is designed around the core academic classes of mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies.  The elective curriculum offers a broad array of courses, including: Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Spanish (8th), Dance, Art, Choir, Theatre Arts, Band, Orchestra, Yearbook, and Digital Graphics.


Students at all grade levels have the opportunity to participate in UIL academic competition, NJHS, math contests, choir, band, theatre arts and orchestra programs. UIL athletic competition is offered in Grades 7 and 8 in football, basketball, volleyball, track and field, tennis and golf. Eighth graders may also participate in cheerleading.
