Collectively, the District’s successful academic, fine arts and athletics programs have placed Midway High School in the UIL’s Lone Star Cup top 10 schools in Texas for four straight years, placing second twice. MISD was also recognized as one of six state finalists for the HEB Excellence in Education Awards last spring.
A former teacher, assistant principal, principal, executive director for curriculum, and assistant superintendent in the College Station, Ennis, and Allen school districts, Dr. Lancaster earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from Baylor University as well as Master of Science in Educational Administration and Doctorate of Education degrees from Texas A&M University in College Station.
